Daniel Lafranchi ’14 served in Afghanistan from 2017 to 2018 with the Army after completing his ROTC course at Santa Clara and earning a degree in civil engineering.

Cecilia Xing Mei Cai ’14 completed the Master of Opera Singing program at the Cremona Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory of Music in Italy with her company Verismo Opera. This summer, she returned to the Bay Area to perform in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” as Cio-Cio San.

After three years living and working in Boston, Nicole Percz ’14 is moving back to LA. She is remaining with her company, EF Educational Tours, which organizes travel for high school students and their teachers. Percz writes she is excited to get back to the California sun!

Thanks to a $6 million donation from Nicole Shanahan J.D. ’14, the Buck Institute for Aging Research will commence studying ways to boost fertility and women’s health. Throughout her career, Shanahan has focused her philanthropic efforts on criminal justice reform and gender equality.
